Spring Special: Two Venus flytraps for $30. Sun: Full sun. Water: Keep in a 1-2" saucer/ tray with distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water; never let dry out. Keep top of pots above water line. Temperature/Dormancy: Thrives in 20–90°F. Can tolerate brief freezes or spikes up to 105°F. Needs outdoor dormancy in winter (40–60°F). Use garage, mulch, or fridge method if sustained temps drop below 20°F. Dormancy is essential for long-term health. Soil/Repotting: 4:1 mix of fertilizer-free peat moss and perlite. (no fertilizers in soil at all) Feeding: Outdoors, traps catch food naturally. Indoors, feed rehydrated blood worms directly and massage trap lightly to mimic live prey.
